les_sized_logosLower East Side Business Improvement District: Established in 1992, the Lower East Side Business Improvement District (LES BID) is a non-profit, economic development organization created to revitalize the Orchard Street shopping district while preserving its unique and diverse character. Today the LES BID is a community of over 600 merchants and property owners managed by a Board of Directors consisting of local merchants, property owners, residents and elected officials. The LES BID promotes and markets local businesses, hosts free public events and provides community beautification services including sanitation, security and graffiti removal.

The Newburgh Quarter is part of the internationally renowned Carnaby area. The company also owns Seven Dials, Chinatown, Opera Quarter and new retail venture St. Martin’s Courtyard in Covent Garden.
Carnaby: Carnaby’s reputation as the birthplace of modern cutting edge UK fashion and British pop music can be traced to 1960 when its boutiques quickly became mecca’s for the likes of rock legends The Rolling Stones and The Who. Through creating full marketing strategies, bespoke brand events, and experiential campaigns, Beyond the Valley Insight acts as a bridge between the next generation of designers, consumers, and those businesses that want to stay connected. Clients already include Nokia, Adidas and Belvedere Vodka.

feixmerlin_sized_logosFeix & Merlin: Tarek and Julia met whilst working with Will Alsop in Battersea, London. Both have cut their teeth on a variety of high profile and exciting projects, and have worked closely together for a number of years. They set up Feix&Merlin Architects in 2006 after being shortlisted for the RIBA competition for a new Café at Deal Pier, Kent.  They went on to win the Bathing Beauties International Design Competition to re-imagine the beach hut for the 21st Century. Their winning design, ‘Eyes Wide sHut’ was completed in September 2007. Since then Urban Splash have approached them for two projects in the Midlands which are now in the Tender stages.  Feix&Merlin’s clients include Local Authorities like Lincolnshire County Council and Dover District Council, Developers like Urban Splash and Punk, Educational Institutions like the LSE, as well as a number of private residential clients.

Grok_ Institute Logo Grok Institute’s aim is give the enchantment of digital art, music and technology a much needed platfrom where the digitally inclined can connect, inspire and collaborate on even newer and more demanding projects. Their uniquely dextrous and varied approach can be seen in their past events: from a large scale two week exhibition over 5 spaces in the Newburgh Quarter to a micro-edition party at Dalston Superstore. They’ve collaborated and shown the likes of digital artists Nanika, Digital Club, Marc Kremers  and Samuel Graf showing as well as curating music from the likes of Secondo, Muravchix, New Yorkers New Look live and Discobabulate’s Laurence.

BOBsoho(inO)-1The Newburgh Quarter’s own, Bobsoho, will be styling the hair for the WYWH Block Party.  Established in 2007, Bobsoho is a boutique hair salon with a refreshingly different approach to hairdressing within a calm, comfortable and intimate environment. They believe in an intelligent approach to hair, practical advice, friendly staff and complementary consultations all adding up to a great service.  Their accomplished team of hairdressers bring to you a wealth of experience, having worked internationally, from fashion shows to film, and their work is regularly featured in fashion publications, trade magazines, music videos and advertising campaigns.
